Our Story

Superior Protection Dogs was built from a shared passion for exceptional working dogs and a belief that true protection should never come at the expense of stability, temperament, or family life.

David is Texas born and raised, while Sufian comes from the North Jersey and New York City area before making Texas home. For more than a decade, both have been deeply involved in the world of protection dogs as trainers, competitive handlers, and high-level decoys.

Our experience in the suit is one of the defining advantages behind how we evaluate dogs. We have decoyed in sport, training, police K9 work, and family-protection environments across a wide variety of breeds and temperaments. That hands-on experience allows us to feel what cannot always be seen from the outside: a dog's intent, confidence, nerve, commitment, clarity, and ability to perform under pressure.

We believe exceptional dogs should be proven, not simply presented. Every dog we consider is evaluated beyond appearance, pedigree, or a polished demonstration. We want to understand the complete picture — how the dog responds when challenged, how clearly it thinks under pressure, and whether it possesses the character and stability required for real-world protection.

We are also family men. Sufian is a father of two, and David is married and comes from a large, close-knit family. Because of that, we understand that the ideal protection dog must be just as trustworthy in the home as it is capable in a serious situation. A truly exceptional family protection dog should bring confidence, companionship, and peace of mind into everyday life.

Our approach is simple: pair elite working ability with exceptional temperament, then place each dog with the right family.
